Autochronicle AI

What It Is
Autochronicle AI is the engine that gives Unyha a memory. It watches what player characters actually do — the deeds done, the battles fought, the Houses that rise and fall, the heirlooms forged and lost — and turns all of that activity into a living history the game reacts to. It is why the world you leave behind at the end of a season is the world the next generation inherits, and it is what makes Unyha an autochronicle: a game that writes its own story out of how it is played.
Our Secret Sauce
It is also the part of Unyha we keep closest to our chest. Autochronicle AI is our secret sauce, and we are not going to spell out how it works — the specifics are our own, and part of the magic is that you feel the results without ever seeing the machinery behind them. What we will say is this: it is the thing that lets Unyha do what other games can't, and nearly everything novel about the way Unyha plays traces back to it.
What It Makes Possible
Because the world genuinely keeps track of what happens in it, Autochronicle AI opens the door to mechanics that simply aren't possible in a game running off a fixed script:
Personal quests, generated for you — daily challenges built around your own House's history and choices, so that no two Houses ever live the same day.
A world that remembers — places, characters, and events that carry the mark of what really happened in the seasons before you.
Player-made history — campaigns where the deeds of real players become permanent, world-shaping parts of Unyha's past.
Stories with roots — quests and encounters drawn from the specific, recorded past rather than the same handcrafted list everyone else receives.
Each of these only works if something is genuinely paying attention and remembering. That something is Autochronicle AI.
How It Actually Works (Roughly)
The word “AI” tends to make people picture a black box improvising the entire game. That is not what this is. The backbone of Autochronicle AI is mostly traditional, hand-built algorithms — deterministic systems we have designed and tuned deliberately, so the world behaves consistently and fairly where it needs to. On top of that we use large language models selectively, only where they genuinely add something, such as turning recorded events into readable, characterful narrative. The result is a system that is dependable where dependability matters and creative where creativity earns its place — not one that leaves your game up to chance.
What It Looks At — and What It Doesn't
Autochronicle AI is interested in exactly one thing: what your characters do in the game. It works entirely from in-game activity — your deeds, your quests, your House, the events you take part in — and nothing else. It is not interested in your personal data and has no reason to be; the only story it is writing is the one your characters are making inside Unyha.
In Short
Autochronicle AI is the quiet engine beneath everything else in this wiki — the reason Unyha remembers what you do, reacts to who you have been, and never quite plays the same way twice.
