The Warrior

The Warrior — hero

Overview

The Warrior is the frontline of Unyha — the one who wears the heaviest armor, holds the line, and keeps the party standing. Where the Mage bends the world, the Warrior simply refuses to fall.

Skills

  • Melee — mastery of close-quarters weapons; the Warrior's bread and butter (see Weapons & Armor).

  • Defence — defensive techniques that let a Warrior intimidate and taunt crowds of enemies, pulling their attention and holding it, which is invaluable in tight spaces (see Party Play).

  • Healing — the Warrior can mend wounds, their own and their allies', making them a durable frontline that also keeps the group alive.

Strengths and Weaknesses

The Warrior takes reduced physical damage and can wear any armor, up to full plate, stacking protection tomes onto it (see Weapons & Armor) — the hardest class in the game to kill in a straight fight. The cost is magic: a Warrior cannot cast beyond the most basic level, and carries reduced magical resistance, so a hostile spellcaster is their real nightmare.

Leveling the Warrior

Every class level pushes the Warrior further toward the physical: more physical protection and more physical output at each step, bought with steadily less magical protection and less magical output. Where a leveled Mage becomes an untouchable caster with a glass jaw, a leveled Warrior becomes the mirror image — an unstoppable wall of steel and muscle that only a capable spellcaster can hope to unravel.

Playstyle

The anchor. In a party the Warrior tanks, taunts, and heals — the shield everyone else fights behind. Solo, they are slow but nearly unkillable in melee, undone mainly by ranged magic they have no clean answer to.

In Short

A wall of steel. The Warrior wins by outlasting everything thrown at them — just mind the mages.
