The Spirit of Unyha

What She Is
The Spirit of Unyha is the animating force — the consciousness, if that is the word — of the world itself. She is not a distant deity throned above the world but something nearer and stranger: a presence woven into the land, its rivers, its stones, its old silences. Whether she is a single entity, a collective memory, or something with no name that fits, no one can say, and it may be that the question has no answer a person could hold.
Her Sickness
She is not well. What threatens her is mundanity — the grey weight of lives lived without wonder, without meaning, without defiance. It is not a villain's scheme; it is closer to entropy. The world drains when people stop caring, stop making, stop risking, and enough of that greyness, gathered over enough lives, could put her out like a held breath. Everything else in Unyha stands downstream of this quiet emergency.
Why the Spiritfolk
She summoned the Spiritfolk — not to serve her, but to embody what she is: sacred, strange, alive, defiant against the grey. Their deeds are what sustains her. Every act of courage, every heirloom forged, every story told honestly at a Unyha Tree is an offering of a kind, whether the one making it understands that or not. A Spiritfolk living loudly is, in a small way, the antidote to what is killing the world.
What No One Knows
Does she speak, and if so, to whom, and when? Has she ever shown herself plainly, or only ever through the world she is? What happens if the grey finally wins? These are not questions the wiki can answer, because the world has not answered them. Some say a Spiritfolk's whole life is one long attempt to — and that the trying is the point.
